Code which I have written entirely by myself will be made available under the terms of the simplified (two-clause) BSD license, as reproduced below. However, code which is based in whole or in part on other software will be made available under the terms of a compatible license; for example code based on a GPLv2 project will be made available under the GNU General Public License version 2. I find that this arrangement provides the maximum amount of good karma and legal compliance all in one. Finally, because fundamental ideas in computer science should not be subject to copyright, any algorithmic libraries or other code filling a similar demonstrative or basic support role I will place into the public domain (this will be stated explicitly within the code).
